Double Card
One half of a “double” card originally sent by Bray to himself on 24th May 1896. He often did this intending the message to be read by his mother.
In 1898 this was joined with another card to form a “double”, as evidenced by the small holes in each corner made by paper fasteners, and reposted a number of times including a successful attempt to reach Malta, albeit to a fictitious address
The second card in this “double” has yet to come to light
There is a manuscript "A" in pencil written by Bray which was common with pairs of double cards, one being marked "A" and the other "B".
