Railway ticket used as address
Sent by Bray to The Postmasters of (Ledbury and Great Malvern) on 10th April 1899.
Bray fixed a railway ticket from Ledbury to Great Malvern to the front of the postcard by the means of two small brass paper fasteners to indicate his desired destinations. He was hoping that it would travel to both towns before being returned, however the absence of a Ledbury postmarrk indicate that he only succeeded with Malvern.
The Post Office also decided that this means of addressing was contrary to regulations and so imposed a 1d. charge with an accompanying instructional mark.
