Double Card
One half of a “double” card originally sent by Bray to Ernest Arnold on 12th August 1899.
Subsequently this was joined with another card to form a “double”, as evidenced by the small holes in each corner made by paper fasteners, and reposted a number of times including an attempt to reach Volksrust, South Africa. This was rejected by the Post Office due to the outbreak of the Second Boer War as indicated by the "Mail Service Suspended" instructional mark.
The second card in this “double” has yet to come to light
