Postmark request

Sent by Bray to The Controller, General Post Office, Hong Kong on 14th July 1900.

Hong Kong pre-paid postal stationery sent by Bray asking for it to be returned so that he could add a Hong Kong postmark to his collection. The stamp is cancelled by a Halwell datestamp indicating that this was probably posted either by Bray or Ernest Arnold when visiting Ivybridge.

Bray also asked for the signature of the recipient, possibly to obtain another autograph, but this was not forthcoming.
