H. Scott Russell (1868-1949) made his London debut with the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company at the Savoy in October 1893, creating the part of Lord Dramaleigh in the first production of Utopia Limited (October 1893-June 1894). He went on to make many appearances in Operas around the world including four different periods with the D’Oyly Carte.
