Autograph request

Postcard sent by Bray to Edward Marto Borrajo, Guildhall Librarian on 19th January 1907 asking for his autograph.

Edward Marto Borrajo (1853-1909) was the son of Don Jose de Borrajo, formerly Financial Representative of Spain in the United Kingdom. After a long career in key library services he was appointed to the role of Guildhall Librarian on 17th January 1907. The Guildhall Library is administered by the Corporation of London, the government of the City of London. It was founded in the 1420s under the terms of the will of legendary Lord Mayor Dick Wittington. It was originally housed in the Old Library at the Guildhall, and moved to modern premises elsewhere in the Guildhall complex in the 1970s.
