Information/Autograph request

Picture postcard sent by Bray to The Rector, Kintbury Church, via Hungerford, Berks on 26th July 1907 asking for his autograph and some information to be supplied.

Kintbury Church was a Saxon Minster, but most of the current building dates from the 12th century. It has good Norman doorways on the north and west sides. The present south transept dates from 1713 but probably replaces an earlier version, perhaps of 1195. This is the date of both the north transept and tower, the latter being extended upwards with attractive chequer-work in the 15th century.
