Postcard sent by Bray to Vice Admiral Hjalmar Rechnitzer on 1st February 1936 asking for his autograph.
Vice Admiral Hjalmar Rechnitzer (1872 - 1953) was head of the Danish Navy at the German occupation of Denmark on April 9, 1940. His influence on Danish defense policy in the 1930s and his role in the days up to 9 April meant that he was subsequently subjected to much criticism . Shortly after April 9, 1940, he returned, and afterwards the judgment over him has been fierce, not least in the Danish army and navy.
