Autograph request
Postcard sent by Bray to Vera Folkine on 1st February 1936 asking for her autograph.
Vera Fokine (1886-1958) graduated from the Russian Imperial School of Ballet in 1904 and married influential choreographer Michel Fokine the following year. In 1919 the two fled the Revolution an moved to New York, where Fokine founded a company in which Vera starred. They taught dance and presented their work wherever they could, including vaudeville, Broadway revues, and presentation houses.
